Mischa barton was born the 24th of January, 1986 in the city of Hammersmith, England. The television series The O.C. she played Marissa Cooper a socialite. She also appeared on screen in The Sixth Sense a thriller. The O.C. She starred in a TV show that was very popular. In addition, she was a part of the cult TV series The O.C. Barton's first appearance on TV was in 1994, when she played the role of a young Corvina hero in flashbacks from the soap opera All My Children. She returned in 1996 to replace Michelle Trachtenberg as Lily Benton Montgomery. In the eight episodes she guest starred of the show Once and Again as Jessie Sammler's (Evan Rachel Wood) lover Katie Singer. In 2001 she returned to film and starred in the indie Canadian film Lost and Delirious based on the novel The Wives of Bath by Susan Swan. Barton along with her co-stars Jessica Pare, Piper Perabo got mixed praises. Julie Johnson, a 2001 film that starred Lili Taylor and Courtney Love in which she was the lesbian daughter of an adulterous lady. Barton was also featured as a support actor in 2001's independent film Tart with Brad Renfro and Dominique Swain. Nadia Elena Comaneci..........................At the 1976 Olympics a 14-year-old Romanian captured the hearts and minds of the world with her daring and perfectio earning seven perfect tens three gold medals one silver and one bronze. In her return to Romania the reception she received was one of heroes. Comaneci won two more gold medals in the 1980 Olympics She also took home two more silvers. The total Olympic medal count now stands at nine. Comaneci was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 1996 and was named one of the top 100 women of the 20th century according to ABC News. Comaneci was married to Olympian Bart Conner on April 16 in 1996. The couple is blessed with one son, Dylan Paul. Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy is one of many gymnastics businesses they jointly own. Comaneci is also involved with a range of charitable organizations as a member of the Special Olympics International Muscular Dystrophy Association as well as Laureus Sports For Good Foundation Board of Directors. Additionally she has continued to support dozens of charities within her home country of Romania which includes Romania's Nadia Comaneci Children's Hospital in Bucharest.
