Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, old boleros and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana enjoys tangos and the dramatic and opera performances. Ana started learning how to play the piano and sing at an early age alongside her mother. She was given more formal vocal training when she reached the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The training in music continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University. In the following years, she was a student at The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. As a student and being a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups as well as choruses. Following her move in America, United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she moved to southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo of traditional Latin American music at private events. Her passion for performing, music, and the arts keeps her involved in local activities in both her capacity as an artist and educator. Ana is a fan of traditional Latin American songs and hopes to encourage others to sing the same.
